Mrs. Goree is a ten year veteran in the teaching profession. She is licensed to work in Texas as well as Louisiana. Mrs. Goree worked with Head Start in Texas for four years before coming to Louisiana to teach Pre-Kindergarten. She has been in the Caddo Parish school system since 2008. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice, a certification in EC-4th (Texas), A PK-3rd certification (Louisiana), Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Teacher Leadership endorsement. She is married to Mr. Todd Goree and a mother of three. |

Mrs. Ford has worked in Caddo Parish for 12 years in a variety of positions. Of all of her various positions within the parish, working with Pre-Kindergarten has been her favorite. Her passion is helping children learn and grow. Mrs. Ford has been married for 18 years and is the mother of five children. |
Although Mrs. Goree and Mrs. Ford will be your child's primary teacher, students will also work closely with the enrichment and intervention teachers.

Mrs. Wilhite Is a recent graduate of Northwestern State University of Louisiana, with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. We are proud to announce that Midway is Mrs. Wilhite's very first school to work at. When she is not making music, Mrs. Wilhite likes to read, garden, and hang out with her husband and their three cats. Mrs. Wilhite strongly believes that every child deserves an education, and that every child deserves the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. It goes without saying, but, Mrs. Whilhite is very excited about joining the Midway Team of Extrardinary teachers that are blessed to serve your child and family. |

Mr. Gill began teaching elementary physical education in 1974. The first time he walked into a classroom, he fell in love with elementary physical education. After all of these years he still maintains a passion and love for teaching children about developing a lifetime of exercise and fun. His goal is to keep his classes educational, fun, and positively exciting!

Art TeacherMorgan Oliver

Morgan Oliver recently moved from St. Louis, Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art and Photography and Masters in Elementary Education with and emphasis in Early Childhood from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has her Missouri teacher certification in Art K-12 and Early Childhood Birth-3rd grade. She was inspired to go into education while working part-time as a late-day coordinator for a special education school. Ms. Oliver has a background in Montessori education with five years teaching experience in early childhood. This will be her third year as an art teacher, and first year in a public school environment. Ms. Oliver is an active member of the National Art Education Association and Missouri Art Education Association. Outside of teaching, she works as a professional photographer and enjoys taking fine art photos. |

Ms. Geneva Feaster has been teaching at Midway for 8 years. After graduating from Green Oaks High School, she attended Louisiana Tech University where she majored in Accounting. In 2006, she enrolled in the Alternative Certification Program at LSUS where she obtained her certification in Special Education (K-12). In May 2013, she graduated from LSUS with a Masters in Educational Leadership. She has four children, and one granddaughter. Her educational philosophy is teaching children and equipping them to be successful citizens intellectually and socially while modeling perseverance, respect, love self-control, honesty, responsibility, and excellence! Some of her hobbies are reading, writing, dancing, singing, shopping, traveling, dining out, going to the movies, and decorating.

Teresa Mims-Bell received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech. Mrs. Mims-Bell also holds her Supervision of Student Teachers and Instruction and Supervision Certifications with Plus 30 from Centenary College. Her teaching philosophy is that all students can learn when they are accepted for whom and where they are in their educational journey. Effective learning requires collaboration between teachers, students, and parents grounded in mutual respect and trust. Her hobbies include reading, volunteering in the Children's Ministry, and spending time with family. She has taught in Caddo Parish since 2001. |
