Family Math Night
September 27, 2012
This is one of my favorite sights to see,
a father spending quality time with his child! |
On Family Math Night's, parents are invited out to see what the current student grade level expectations are and how the present learning environment compares to how parents learned when they were in school. Parents are often suprized at the level of intensity their children are required to perform at in order to progress to the next grade level.
Both parents and students were highly invovled in the activities each grade level had planned. Personally, I think that the parents enjoyed the activities and games MORE than the students and students of ALL grades enjoyed coming to the Pre-Kindergarten table most of all. Parents and students received a ticket that must be filled by visiting a set amount of booths before the night was over and dinner served. Door prizes ranging from five to fifteen dollar Wal-mart gift cards were also rewarded to attendees. Our Fall Family Math Night proved to be both educational and fun! |
